Develop a keen interest in the Mandarin language early on! Native Mandarin teachers nurture and develop your child’s Mandarin skills through fun interactive activities that focus on writing, storytelling, songs, grammar and vocabulary.

Camp Details


With the continued evolution of Asia’s social and economic influence around the world, Mandarin is quickly becoming one of the most important languages that your child can learn. This is also especially relevant for your child to pick up Mandarin from a young age. In Mini Mandarin, we believe in giving your child an exciting Mandarin learning experience.

The best way to learn Mandarin is through engaging music, storytelling, drama, and art and craft activities. Our experienced coaches at XCL Camps know the best ways to help your child to pick up Mandarin language skills.

Mandarin Explorers

For ages 4 to 6 years

Price includes morning snack, lunch, camp t-shirt and materials

Camp activities:

  • Recognise Chinese characters through interactive learning
  • Interactive story-telling to pique your child’s interest in Chinese learning
  • Fun activities to develop fine and gross motor skills
  • Improve concentration through Chinese yoga

Mandarin Explorers

For ages 6 to 8 years


Price includes morning snack, lunch, camp t-shirt and materials

Students will be exposed to themes related to their daily lives. They will learn to communicate effectively and construct basic sentence structures.

For listening and conversation skills, students will listen texts varied from sentences to short stories, games, songs, and mini skits guided in Mandarin.

For word recognition, students will learn basic strokes and word recognition strategies to help them remember Chinese characters.

Develop fine & gross motor skills through music and movements, art & crafts.


Mr. Gary Quek

Mr. Gary Quek is an experienced Bilingual teacher. Having taught students aged 4-8 year olds in an international school, he has the knowledge to spark interest in students’ learning.

He believes in making language learning enjoyable.​

He holds a Bachelor Degree in Chinese Language & Literature and Minor in Translation, and a Certificate for Chinese Teacher to Other Speakers of Other Languages (CTCSOL).​

Ms. Stacey Guo is a professional and passionate bilingual Chinese teacher with 13 years of teaching experience across many international schools in Singapore. She holds a Bachelor of Art Degree from Changchun University and Masters of Chinese Studies from National University of Singapore.

She is passionate about nurturing students to become confident and fluent Chinese learners. She strongly believes that Mandarin camp activities will increase children’s interest in learning Mandarin and enhance their sense of achievement. She looks forward to meeting your child on camp!
