An inquiry into digital design, systems thinking, and virtual architecture. Students explore how worlds are constructed, how environments influence behaviour, and how design impacts user experience. Through blueprint planning, pixel art creation, and 3D world-building, learners develop computational thinking and creativity while reflecting on the principles behind effective game design.

Game Design with Minecraft – Level 2

For ages 7 to 14 years

Redstone in Minecraft is about adding electricity to Minecraft worlds and objects. Perfect for student who have attended Level 1 of Minecraft camp.

Redstone is the equivalent of electricity in Minecraft, allowing students to build their own automation and innovative products, e.g. automated door, bouncy castle and even toilet bowl to bring their ideas to life. Your child will be put in the shoes of an urban planner as they build their Smart School.

Camp activities:

  • Learn about the relationship between electrical circuit and Redstone wiring in Minecraft
  • Understand the functions of different Redstone components
  • Learn what automation is and use Redstone concepts to incorporate automation in the creation

Game Design with Roblox

For ages 7 to 10 years

An immersive exploration of interactive systems and digital storytelling. Students design and test their own 3D game environments while learning the fundamentals of scripting and debugging. Through iterative design and peer feedback, learners strengthen computational thinking, creativity, and resilience — understanding how digital spaces are shaped by intentional design choices.

Generative AI
