Stage Camp

Stage Camp Overview

Lights, camera, action! Help your child build confidence, develop public speaking skills and boost self-esteem through an engaging stage performance camp run in partnership with the Singapore Repertory Theatre.

Camp Details

Stage Camp is a 5-day programme exploring theatre skills. The emphasis is on the “process” with the opportunity to present a short informal performance on the final day. The programme is centered on the learning experience rather that the execution of a performance. Each day the students will explore new drama skills in vocal technique, movement, emotions, expression, character, mime and more. As they explore the skills, they will begin to devise their own unique presentations with their ideas, words and imagination. The programmes is conducted by SRT’S experienced Teaching Artist team and managed by SRT’s Learning & Engagement department.

Theme for December holidays: How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Boohoo! The Grinch with his heart two sizes too small, has stolen Christmas from the Whos! Will this be the end of Christmas day? Or will the Grinch find it in himself to mend his way?

Join us at Singapore Repertory Theatre(SRT) this holiday season for a five-day drama camp to explore how we could all convince the Grinch to have a change of heart. Through participation in storytelling, dramatic games and imaginative roleplay, our talented young actors will wrap the week up with a retelling of this classic tale!
